Protein Picks is an iPhone recipe application and website. The first version is designed to work without a consumer account. Favorites, notes, grocery items, and cooking progress are stored locally on your device unless a future feature clearly tells you otherwise.
2. Information we process
Information you choose to provide
If you email us for support, we receive your email address, message, and any information you include. Please do not send sensitive health or financial information.
App information stored on your device
The app may store favorites, recipe notes, grocery-list items, filter choices, and cooking progress locally. This data is controlled through your device and app settings.
Technical information
When the app or website requests public recipe content from our servers, standard server logs may temporarily record information such as IP address, request time, requested URL, response status, and basic device or browser information. This helps us secure and operate the service.
Notifications
If you enable local cooking notifications, your device handles them. You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings.
3. How we use information
- Provide recipe content and requested app features.
- Respond to support and contact requests.
- Maintain security, prevent abuse, and diagnose technical problems.
- Understand service reliability using limited operational logs.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
4. Storage and retention
On-device app data remains on your device until you remove it through the app, delete the app, or erase the device, subject to any device backups you control. Support emails are retained only as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request and meet legitimate legal or security needs. Server logs are retained for a limited operational period.
6. Your choices and rights
You can manage notifications in iOS Settings and delete on-device app data by using available app controls or deleting the app. Depending on where you live, you may have rights relating to personal information we hold, such as access, correction, or deletion. Email us to make a request. We may need to verify it before responding.
7. Children
Protein Picks is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information to us, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the product changes. The “Last updated” date will show when revisions take effect. Material changes may also be communicated in the app or through another appropriate notice.
